Concentrating Solar Electric Project Makes Waves

The City of Medicine Hat's newest solar electric project (commissioned in December 2009) that uses the latest solar electric technologies:

• this five kilowatt project produces 50% more energy than a basic solar electric system
• will generate 11,000 kilowatt hours a year – enough power to make the waves in the Leisure Centre pool
• will save five tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions a year
