Public Library Solar Electric Project

September 2007
The solar electric system has now been up and running for over a year.  In the last 12 months the system has generated 1, 300 kWhs.

June 2006
The City of Medicine Hat installed a one kilowatt solar electric system on the roof of the Medicine Hat Library as part of the Alberta Solar Municipal Showcase.  The Library is now using all available solar electricity before it draws electricity from its local electric energy supplier – the City of Medicine Hat Electric Utility.
