What is it?
This is significant biological diversity within our community including many environmentally geographic areas. Native prairie grasslands, river valleys and coulees provide travel corridors and habitat for many wildlife species. In addition, there are several endangered plants and animals, such as the Tiny Cryptanthe plant, which has been found in the Ranchlands area currently under development.
As land is developed within the City, we must balance this growth and the require supporting infrastructure with maintaining our quality of life and protecting the environment. Every development activities results in some form of environmental impact.
